Refined craftsmanship meets French heritage - Léon Flam x Elysée - Présidence de la République capsu

Dear readers, although the French National Day (also known as the ‘Bastille Day’ in general) was just celebrated about a month ago, and, it’s still on summer holiday that most of the Parisian shops are closed for vacation, as a Francophile, that doesn’t literally stop me to discover some nice French creations, especially, by receiving one of the great news from my French friend, who is the owner of the French contemporary travel bag label - Léon Flam, recently launching his latest special collection which I was absolutely thrilled and impressed! Pourquoi? Because this collection marks the brand’s precedent collaboration with the President of the French Republic, for a remarkable project of preserving French cultural and historical heritage.

The new ‘Léon Flam x Elysée - Présidence de la République’ special accessories collection, a capsule collection actually, consists of a range of refined leather goods items from card holder, passport holder to key holders, created for the purpose of supporting the renovation of the French Elysée Palace, the significant premises where the French President resides. As a brief history, the Elysée Palace is located on 55 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, in the heart of the 8th arrondissement of Paris, originally built for Count Louis-Henri of the Tower of Auvergne by architect Armand-Claude Mollet between 1718 and 1720, the Hotel d'Evreux was then donated to the Marquise de Pompadour by Louis XV in 1753. It was after extensive work by Joachim Murat that the hôtel particulier acquired its status as a palace. His brother-in-law, Napoleon I, made it his imperial residence in 1805, Napoleon III also lived there from 1848. In 1879, the palace became the official residence of the president of the French Republic, who has been there ever since. A veritable showcase of French know-how for 300 years, the Palais de l'Elysée has made France and its talents shine.

As a gesture of supporting the renovation work for this magnificent and meaningful palace, Léon Flam created this series of delicate and refined accessories pieces, homage to the glory and legacy of French craftsmanship, using the French National flag palettes from French Navy, Parisian White and Rose Red, with the exquisite in-house craftsmanship with the finest full-grain leather, entirely made in France, to express the core spirit of French savoir-faire, beauty and excellence, enables the style-conscious and classical you to have a piece of French heritage, interprets in a modern way, to be carried around at the same time sharing the French historic glory wherever you are.

Even without travelling all the way to Paris, one can always experience the French heritage and excellence with these little accessories at hand, so, which one will be your pick?
