During the recent Watches & Wonders exhibition, I am thrilled to reunite with my dear friend Romain from Baume & Mercier and catching up some old times, his classic charm and French elegance is always impressive that I appreciated, perhaps that makes him one of the busiest gent in his beautifully decorated booth, surrounded by guests asking about the exquisite crafted timepieces and stories of the watchmaking house. I let myself in lightly in the inner salon, approaching to a sleek rounded cabinet, a series of simple-designed yet elegant watches then just caught my eyes, and that’s moment I start to discover the story of the Classima collection.
