Breathtaking tournament and Alpine glamour - St. Moritz Snow Polo Jan 2024

Dear readers, did you all have a great time over the Christmas celebration? I hope so, but let’s keep the momentum going since it’s only a few days away from the new year, as we have one more event (at least) that’s worth to celebrate! Especially for those who are into winter resort glamour and aristocratic sports, and that is the upcoming St. Moritz Snow Polo tournament! As usual, this remarkable winter sports event which will be carried out on the frozen Lake St. Moritz, is always the great attraction for those who enjoy the elite winter sport, and dialing up your luxury indulgence to the top of the top, to experience the Alpine jet-set style in this Swiss resort town, that is well-known as the destination for the legendary rich and famous.

This year marks the 39th edition of the tournament, starting from 26th to 28th January 2024, the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz has two highlight this time, first of all, is the two new sponsors, which are the on-trend Canadian luxury outerwear brand, Mackage, which makes its debut, whilst the prestigious French champagne house, Perrier- Jouët, joins them as a second partner, these two new partners will complement the existing team sponsors’ line-up of Flexjet, The Kusnacht Practice, World Polo League and St. Moritz.

The second highlight is the special appearance of “Pelon” Stirling, who has made a significant mark on the last decade of polo and will undoubtedly provide spectacular action on the ice of Lake St. Moritz. With the world’s elite players gather in this very spot for such top-class snow polo tournament, setting against a picturesque and stunning mountain backdrop, which makes us all anticipated how exciting this year’s tournament will be, also how these incredible players will show their skills and strategy throughout this period. In terms of players, others in the spotlight in addition to “Pelon” Stirling are Mr. Fred Mannix from Canada, who possibly be one of the best amateur players in the world, and Englishman player Mr. Max Charlton, who for many is the best player on snow.

Besides the tournament, another great reason to attend this event, of course, is to enjoy the one-of-the-kind Alpine resort glamour simultaneously; the gastronomy in the popular Polo Village will even be more extraordinary, and the VIP tent will be set for a super-luxury upgrade, not only structurally, but also with the food and drink offering. Needlessly to say, it’s also worthwhile to put this into your ‘to do’ list, which is, to be in the traditional gala event at the luxurious Badrutt’s Palace after the tournament (although it’s fully booked already!)!
