Maison Marc-Antoine Barrois new boutique opening, Paris

For the record, July is the month about celebrations, it’s not just about the beginning of summer holiday or Wimbledon final, to French in particular (or those who are a Francophile like me), 14th Jul is the traditional French National Day, and yes, the kind of splendid fireworks around the Eiffel Tower and crowds gathered on the Avenue de Champs Elysees; but as a style-savvy reader like you, if it happens that you are in Paris now, there’s one more thing that you should be celebrating, that is, my Parisian contemporary menswear couturier friend, Marc-Antoine Barrois, who just opened his new perfume boutique near Palais Royal district.

As a second boutique of the couturier, this new boutique is specially dedicated to his perfume collection (while the first boutique, situated on Rue de Budapest, is more focus on his contemporary Parisian men’s tailoring and seasonless jewelry collection), located in the historic Parisian Passage, Galerie Véro-Dodat, with prestigious and fashionable neighbors such as Christian Louboutin and Pierre Passebon art gallery, the location is the place about artistic history meets style.

With the grand opening cocktail reception just held recently, style-savvy guests in Paris have gathered at this chic spot, to celebrate this wonderful moment with the couturier.

Worked with respected architect, Antoine Bouillot, Founder of Honneur Society Studio, the concept of this new perfume boutique is the combination of tradition and Parisian modernity, with a touch of the nature with the use of raw material for the interior, details included carved wood and varnished plane tree, also glass that worked with maple sugar, a true reflection of the beauty between a man and the mother nature.

“With this boutique, I wanted to create not only a new boutique but a dream-like universe that is full of poesy and wonder as my inspirations are.” The couturier said.

Apart from the appealing interior, one can find the entire Marc-Antoine Barrois perfume collection, which created in collaboration with the talented perfumer, Quentin Bisch, in this new boutique; especially the latest perfume named ‘Ganymede’, which has been awarded as the “Perfume Extraordinaire” by Fragrance Foundation UK and “Best Independent brand niche perfume” by French Fragrance Foundation.

After all, July indeed is the month about celebrations, and it sometimes involved Parisian chic and perfume.
