Perfectly bespoke – Michael Andrews Bespoke, New York

Dear readers, even under the chilly weather like now in January, for some reason I did make a very exceptional purchase recently, a fitted navy double-breasted linen blazer, I know it sounds silly to get a linen jacket when it’s still freezing cold outside, given a very special deal that I came across, and, I do crave for a fitted navy double-breasted blazer for quite some time (under the sprezzatura influence and the Pitti Uomo effect that I likely missed quite a bit), and I don’t mind to wait until the warmer days to wear it in my favorite and signature ‘Côte d'Azur’ look. Speaking of warmer days, it is also a friendly calling for us to refresh our closet for the new spring summer season, with something refreshing, smart and comfortable; I recently came across a premium tailoring brand, Michael Andrews Bespoke New York, they specialize in high quality bespoke clothing for men (even for women as well), and I find it relatively intriguing which I’d like to share with you all here.

Founded by Mr. Michael Andrews in 2006, a corporate-attorney-comes-bespoke-clothing-expert, having been taken tailoring classes at Fashion Institute of Technology while managing his professional day job, Michael Andrews Bespoke has made their client look their best for more than a decade, apart from their signature ceremonial clothing, their bespoke clothing has also captured the discerning clients’ heart, especially for those who enjoys the premium quality menswear that homage to the traditional (British) sartorial craftsmanship, yet, interpreted in a modern and refreshing way through the contemporary American craftsmanship and style.

Unlike the conventional American cuts with a boxy jacket and roomy trousers, the modernized American silhouette in particular in Michael Andrews Bespoke, are pretty much smart and well-tailored: body-conscious cut with a structured shoulder, a slender trousers in mid-rise that makes one looks tall, sleek and confident. Every bespoke suit that made by Michael Andrews Bespoke is a true artistry and being precisely handled, featured full canvas construction, hand rolled lapels, hand sewn buttonholes, hand pick stitching and high quality trims such as Riri zippers and genuine horn buttons.

One of the house’s signature process - the “muslin” (or “basted”) fitting process (also referred to as a test fitting or prototype fitting), enables clients to experience the bespoke journey with the loosely-sewn prototype while doing the fitting, the proto is easily re-adjustable to your body by their skilled tailor that shows their precision and attention to detail. More than 30,000 luxurious fabrics available for selection, many from the world’s finest mills including Dormeuil, Zegna, Scabal, Holland & Sherry, Ariston, etc., suiting fabrics included wool and wool/cashmere blends ranging from Super 100s to Super 200s, as well as seasonal weight and performance blend fabrics. With the weather is still chilly at the beginning of the year, a Super 100s wool/cashmere blended suit seems like a great choice to refresh your closet for this Spring.
